The History of Jumping Stilts
Several years, back in 1999, Alexander Bock created the first velocity stilts called the Powerskips. Developed in Germany, Bock promotes the Powerskips and the Powerskips Pro. Who would have known that this cross between a trampoline, pogo stick, and stilts would have developed into such a enormous success and fad between all genders and age bracket.

Given that Alexander Bock developed this novel intense and amusing approach of fitness, transportation, and just unadulterated amusing entertainment, countless have trailed developing their own models of the original powerskips. The Velocity Motion Stilt entered the markets in 2000 in the U.S.A. by StiltWerks INC.

Nonetheless, the trend did not finish there. Hitech & C. Co., a Korean based company, came out with their own style of jumping stilts, the PoweriSers trying to takeover the market by making jumping stilts reasonably priced in 2002. Hitech & C. Co. also created the very original kids size of jumping stilts. The Powerisers are made in the Philippines despite their Korean located company. Powerisers were brought to the U.S.A., Europe, and the UK stores in 2007.

A China located company, the Flying Locust, joined the rave in 2004 when they began selling jumping stilts under several names such as Flying Jumper, PowerStrider, ProJump, FlyJumper, SpeedJumper, AirRunner, and JollyJumper. An Austrian company, Future Tech announced 7Leaguebot because of them being let down with the China based reproduction of jumping stilts. They are presently are only offered in Europe and the United Kingdom but can be brought in directly through the maker.

From 1999 to now, several establishments, and styles of jumping stilts have appeared. This is due largely to the rising want for these highflying jumping stilts by both genders and all age ranges. It began with mostly pro intense sport enthusiast holding the market on these high flyers, but now the market is thriving with all walks of life. Jumping stilts not just for the men club. Females have joined in on the fun of jumping stilts and not simply for the awesome total body exercise it gives, but because it is just pure fun also! Who says extremes are just for guys.

As with anything, especially sports, there are certain dangers, however when you put safety priority you can almost eradicate any real damage coming to you. Be sure to always wear good gear and padding when operating any style of jumping stilts, follow manufactures recommendations, and be sensible and you will have many extremely happy, fun filled days jumping.
